We had the Big Plate Mixed Platter. The portion was huge, and the taste was amazing. After spending a week in Sri Lanka and trying food in different parts of the country, we were looking for something truly satisfying. This was the first restaurant where the taste actually met our expectations, so good, and nicely spicy. Our waiter, Rishad, was friendly and great to chat with, and he even explained how to eat the shredded shawarma. Shout-out to him!

We went here as a team to have lunch and the food was really good. We ordered sea food fried rice, chicken fried rice and chicken nasi goreng. The food is better when hot, so better if you can dine in here. Zafrin is a nice guy who serves us well without taking much time to provide our order. Overall a good place to dine in . As the name says the portions are really big and tasty as well. Specially the submarines & burgers . Parking is bit of struggle but you can park opposite (marine drive). Private rooms for groups are avaialble as well. Ranjendran ( our waiter )was supet nice and attentive

I visited here looking for a healthy meal, and it didn’t disappoint. Muhammad Azhar served us and was one of the most friendly, helpful, and polite hosts we’ve ever met. We ordered the vegetable fried rice, chicken salad, and soup — everything was fresh, light, and full of flavour, with very generous portions. A truly wholesome dining experience. We’ll definitely be back on our next visit to Colombo. Thank you!

Chicken Kadai & Prawns Chettinadh were so good. Portions were more than enough. We ordered each items for 1 person, but these can be shared easily by 2/3 people. Azhar served us well.

I visited Big Plate Restaurant for lunch today and ordered the Mixed Nasi Goreng. The portion size was very satisfying, the taste was really good, and the food was well presented. Overall, the quality of the meal was excellent. I would especially like to appreciate the waiter Ameen for his friendly and professional customer service. He recommended the Mixed Nasi Goreng as a fast-moving dish, and it turned out to be a great choice. His suggestion and positive attitude made the experience even better.
